At YMCA of Long Island, our camp themes are more than just fun activities—they're the foundation of a transformative experience that instills our core values in every camper. This year, we're focusing on Kindness & Caring, Respect & Honesty, Teamwork & Responsibility and Leadership & Respect. These themes are designed to create a nurturing environment where children learn the importance of empathy, integrity, and collaboration. By engaging in activities like kindness challenges, teamwork games, and respect-building skits, campers not only have a blast but also develop essential life skills that will benefit them long after camp ends. Through these sessions, we aim to empower each camper to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
Kindness & Caring
Session 1: Kindness Rocks!
High-fives, secret handshakes, and kindness challenges—let’s make camp the friendliest place ever! Campers will spread good vibes, help each other, and see how one small act can make a BIG difference!
Respect & Honesty
Session 2: Respect the Fun!
Time to level up our respect game! From teamwork games to silly skits, campers will learn how honesty and respect make friendships stronger and camp even more awesome!

Session 3: Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!
Who’s ready for epic team challenges?! Campers will tackle obstacle courses, solve puzzles, and work together to prove that when we help each other, anything is possible!

Session 4: Lead the Way!
Future leaders, let’s go! Whether they’re leading a group game, helping younger campers, or showing off their skills, campers will step up, take charge, and end summer as camp legends!
