We’re thrilled to announce our theme for 2025: “Camp Life is the Best Life: Summer Exploration Starts Here!” This summer, we’re going all out, inviting every camper to dive into an adventure like never before, where the spirit of exploration fuels every activity, friendship, and memory made.

At YMCA of Long Island, our camp themes are more than just fun activities—they're the foundation of a transformative experience that instills our core values in every camper. This year, we're focusing on Kindness & Caring, Respect & Honesty, Teamwork & Responsibility and Leadership & Respect. These themes are designed to create a nurturing environment where children learn the importance of empathy, integrity, and collaboration. By engaging in activities like kindness challenges, teamwork games, and respect-building skits, campers not only have a blast but also develop essential life skills that will benefit them long after camp ends. Through these sessions, we aim to empower each camper to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond. 

What a an amazing summer! From Olympic activities, to color runs, to learning new things and concurring challenges, we can not believe that 2024 summer camp has come to a close.  Thank you to our campers, families, and staff for a fantastic summer where we made new friends, learned new skills and made a life time of memories.
