First up was Disney Day at Kiddie camp, where campers dressed up as their favorite Disney characters and enjoyed a day filled with magical activities and games. The excitement continued with Bring Your Favorite Book Day, where campers brought their beloved books and shared their love for reading with each other.  Meanwhile, our Teen Campers headed to QZar for more arcade and laser tag fun. They also had trips to Top Golf and High Velocity Paint Ball.  Patchogue Family YMCA Summer Day Camp ![5-Aug-10-2023-03-36-21-9680-PM](https://campblog.ymcali.org/hs-fs/hubfs/5-Aug-10-2023-03-36-21-9680-PM.png?width=274&height=274&name=5-Aug-10-2023-03-36-21-9680-PM.png) ![6-Aug-10-2023-03-36-22-1953-PM](https://campblog.ymcali.org/hs-fs/hubfs/6-Aug-10-2023-03-36-22-1953-PM.png?width=274&height=274&name=6-Aug-10-2023-03-36-22-1953-PM.png) Our Patchogue Family YMCA/Brookhaven Roe Y Summer Day Campers enjoyed the first week of session 4, immersing themselves in a variety of exciting activities. The adventure zone playground and gym mats were a hit, providing endless fun and opportunities for our campers to stay active. The kids couldn't get enough of the jungle gym, climbing, swinging, and sliding to their heart's content.  But perhaps the highlight of the week was the foam machine, which unleashed a wave of bubbly excitement among the kids as they ran through the bubbles with their friends and fellow campers.  The sports court was another favorite spot for our campers. They played GAGA, a fast-paced and action-packed game that had them dodging, diving, and laughing. The cheers and applause filled the air as they celebrated each victory and supported their teammates. The court also saw intense matches of horse, with campers showing off their basketball skills and trying to outdo each other with trick shots and impressive dunks. The friendly competition and sportsmanship on display were truly heartwarming.   Great South Bay YMCA Summer Day Camp ![7-Aug-10-2023-03-36-22-0616-PM](https://campblog.ymcali.org/hs-fs/hubfs/7-Aug-10-2023-03-36-22-0616-PM.png?width=259&height=259&name=7-Aug-10-2023-03-36-22-0616-PM.png) ![8-Aug-10-2023-03-36-22-0769-PM](https://campblog.ymcali.org/hs-fs/hubfs/8-Aug-10-2023-03-36-22-0769-PM.png?width=266&height=266&name=8-Aug-10-2023-03-36-22-0769-PM.png) One of the highlights of the week was the beach trip. The Teens and pre-teens eagerly packed their beach towels, sunscreen, and beach toys, ready for a day of fun in the sun. The campers wasted no time running towards the water, splashing, swimming, and digging holes. Another exciting outing for the Teens was the Maritime Museum.  Huntington YMCA Summer Day Camp  ![9-Aug-10-2023-04-12-07-3994-PM](https://campblog.ymcali.org/hs-fs/hubfs/9-Aug-10-2023-04-12-07-3994-PM.png?width=277&height=277&name=9-Aug-10-2023-04-12-07-3994-PM.png)   ![10-4](https://campblog.ymcali.org/hs-fs/hubfs/10-4.png?width=280&height=280&name=10-4.png) Our Huntington YMCA Summer Day Campers enjoyed a wide range of activities that kept them engaged and entertained throughout the week. From climbing the rock wall to reading books and playing games with their friends, there was never a dull moment. But the highlight of their week was undoubtedly the special visit from our hula hoop friends. These talented individuals came to teach our campers how to hula hoop and even dance while hula hooping.  Our adventurous teens ventured to our Glen Cove Camp location for the exhilarating high ropes course. With their adrenaline pumping, they conquered challenging obstacles and pushed themselves to new heights. And to top it all off, they end the week with a visit to the Aquarium. ### Leave a Comment ## Related Articles [![](https://ymcali.org/sites/default/files/styles/media_half/public/2022-08/gsb.png?itok=sxzQOb7A)](https://campblog.ymcali.org/camp-blog-week-7) ### [Camp Blog week 7](https://campblog.ymcali.org/camp-blog-week-7) ## WELCOME TO CAMP LIFE: THE BLOG! #### Your one-stop for summer day camp fun!  Check back often to enjoy the excitement that camp brings to your child, as they, run, jump and...
