We love teaching and playing different sports with our campers. Learning to play on teams helps provide transferable skills related to trust, working together, and problem-solving as well as leadership, respect, and patience. We get it, camp can be fun and competitive, but that doesn't stop you from showing people your actions. At the YMCA of Long Islands Summer Camp, we have zero tolerance for negative, inappropriate content and actions. We encourage others to follow by example and bring a positive and caring attitude each day with them to camp. We at summer camp work as a team and strive for every camper to have the ability to ask for help or go to an adult if there is a problem. We are here to help develop confident and caring individuals!    ### Leave a Comment ## Related Articles ### [Smiles and Friendships Are Made At Camp!](https://campblog.ymcali.org/smiles-and-friendships-are-made-at-camp) [YMCA Summer Day Camp Team](https://campblog.ymcali.org/author/ymca-summer-day-camp-team) [Read More](https://campblog.ymcali.org/smiles-and-friendships-are-made-at-camp) [![](https://campblog.ymcali.org/hubfs/CAMP%20week%202-%20Session%201%20(7).png)](https://campblog.ymcali.org/axe-throwing-and-cool-stem-projects-and-more) ### [Ax throwing, cool stem projects, and more!](https://campblog.ymcali.org/axe-throwing-and-cool-stem-projects-and-more) YMCA East Hampton had fun this week.
